Dear Otley Businesses,
Tomorrow (Friday) is your last chance to collect your Covid-19 Business Support Pack.
You are eligible for a pack if you:
- Pay the Business Improvement District Levy
- Have NOT yet collected a pack
We are now urging all businesses who haven’t yet collected a pack, whether you are open or not planning to open for another few days or weeks, to please collect your pack TOMORROW.
We still have over 100 packs available and we do not have any long term storage for these packs. So we would prefer for them to be used by any of our BID levy payers who have not yet collected one and will find them helpful in making their business Covid-19 compliant.
What is a Covid-19 Business Support Pack?
These packs have been created to help businesses to re-open safely and in a consistent way across the whole town to make it easier for customers to understand the social distancing messages we are asking them to follow. The packs are worth up to £100 each if you were to put them together yourself, however, they are available FREE OF CHARGE to all Otley BID Members, and include:
- 2 x cotton face coverings – washable at 60 degrees
- 1 x roll of ‘social distancing’ floor tape – 33 metres
- 1 x 5 litre container of hand sanitiser + pump
- 1 x 500ml bottle of hand sanitiser + pump *See note belowÂ
- 1 x signage pack (1 of each poster). The ‘Maximum xx persons at a time please’ poster enables you to write in the number of people you can safely invite into your shop at any one time and maintain the 2m social distancing
- 1 x Staying Covid-19 Secure Poster
*Please note: Hairdressers, Barbers, Beauty Therapists, Nail Bars, Dentists, Physiotherapists, Tattooists, Podiatrists will receive a pack of 30 disposable face masks in place of the small 500ml hand sanitiser + pump, due to having closer contact with their customers.
How do I collect my Support Pack?
You can collect your Support Pack TOMORROW BETWEEN 10AM-2PM from Otley Town Council’s offices (The Core, Unit 11 Orchard Gate, Otley LS21 3NX).
YOU MUST Complete Your Covid-19 Risk Assessment BEFORE reopening!
The Government have advised that a Covid-19 Risk Assessment must be completed by all businesses (irrelevant of size or number of staff) BEFORE re-opening.
Complete The Risk Assessment HERE
Once the Risk Assessment has been completed and provisions put in place, you are then able to open and display the ‘Staying Covid-19 Secure‘ poster in your workplace. This is included within your Covid-19 Business Support Pack.
If a Health & Safety Officer decides to do spot check visits you will be required to show that you have completed your Risk Assessment and that you are showing your poster as confirmation.
Please Share This Information With Your Business Neighbours
We need your help to ensure as many businesses as possible receive a Support Pack and that Otley opens in the correct way to help keep our town safe and get back to a ‘new normal’.
Unfortunately, we DO NOT yet have contact details of EVERY BUSINESS OWNER IN OTLEY, so if you know someone who isn’t currently receiving our emails, please ask them to get in touch either on email to info@otleybid.co.uk, or via our social media platforms (Facebook or Twitter).
If you need any further information or you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our utmost to help.
