Our Otley BID Champion, Tim Wilkinson, has headed up this area of our business support due to his background in Property and Project Management from his first-hand experience of running his own bed and breakfast business for many years.
Tim is available to our members for FREE advice on the areas below, and if he doesn’t know the answer he can usually point you in the right direction of someone who does.
- Lease Agreement Advice – should you be having a dispute with your landlord that you are struggling to resolve, or you would like support or advice on negotiating your next lease review, we are here to help! Initially please contact Tim and he will review your Agreement and give his advice on next steps – FREE OF CHARGE. If this needs to be taken further, we have collaborated with Otley solicitors, Newstead and Walker, who will be able to advise you further. Depending on the professional legal advice required, there may be a fee to pay, but this will be advised during your initial discussions with the solicitor concerned.
- Small Business Rate Relief Eligibility – through close liaison with Leeds City Council Business Rates Department, we have previously understood that a number of businesses in our town have been eligible for Small Business Rates Relief but haven’t, for whatever reason, applied for it. We have, therefore, contacted these businesses to ensure that they apply for what they are entitled for.
