Otley BID Ltd are looking to appoint a person to support the directors with events for the town and for Otley BID.
We are looking for someone who would be self-employed and we would pay an agreed hourly rate for work as needed. We estimate approximately 8 hours per month, but this may vary depending on the Events Calendar.
These are the events we require support with in the first instance:
- Otley BID AGM – April
- Otley Live – July
- Childrens events in the Market Place during summer – August
- Otley Business Awards – bi-annual in February
- Otley 800 – town wide celebration of market charter in 2027
- Market Place Christmas tree installation
- Liaise with coach parties arriving in town
- It is likely that extra events will be added to this as the role becomes established.
The role would include:
- Booking venues, catering and activities
- Arranging public liability insurance
- Ensuring legal requirements relating to child protection, equal opportunities, data protection and any other laws
- Liaising with our other Champions and directors to ensure promotion of events
- Distributing posters, letters and invites to our team of street reps.
