New Website, AGM Video, Hospitality Survey & Business Visits

In our February Update we’d like to fill you in on our new website developments, how you can watch our recent AGM, our Hospitality Survey in anticipation of the Government’s announcement on Monday, as well as how we are looking to keep in touch with you whilst there are still lockdown restrictions in place:

  1. New Website – We are delighted to bring you a new and much improved website. There is a dedicated Covid-19 page with all the important links you need, as well as Member Benefits, Financial Reporting, Projects etc, and very soon I will be updating our Free Business Training page for 2021. Also if you are aware of any new businesses opening up in the town, please let them know that they can now register on our website to receive our regular email updates and a Welcome Pack giving them all the information they need to know about Otley Business Improvement District. Please have a look around and feedback anything you think we can improve on.
  2. AGM Video – Our Annual General Meeting took place on Tuesday 2nd February via Zoom. The meeting updated our stakeholders with a Review of 2020, Plans for 2021, New Website Developments, Otley Benchmarking Survey Results and our 2019/20 Financial Accounts, along with a Review of Spend up to end Dec 2020 – WATCH THE AGM VIDEO HERE.
  3. Hospitality Survey – Boris Johnson will make an announcement this coming Monday 22nd February which we hope will be a roadmap outlining our emergence from lockdown. It looks likely, according to some reports, that hospitality will re-open for al-fresco dining, and some non-essential public facing shops/services may also re-open.Via the Visit Otley and Buy in Otley websites and associated PR and marketing, we’d like to hit the ground running as soon as possible if this is the case. When it comes to hospitality, it would be good to have some details in place about what facilities businesses have that can make an al-fresco experience more enjoyable at a time of year when the weather is likely to be inclement. If you have a business in the hospitality sector could you please complete our 5 minute survey before Monday 22nd February – TAKE THE SURVEY HERE.

Finally, with the current lockdown restrictions sadly I am still unable to resurrect my weekly visits to businesses. I am therefore going to open up my diary to phone calls so that I can continue to stay in touch with you, our stakeholders. So, if you have any burning questions or inspiring thoughts and ideas on how you would like to see Otley recover from this Pandemic, please email me atrachelle.atkin@otleybid.co.uk and we will fix a mutually convenient day/time to catch up.

Thank you for taking the time to read our update, stay safe and remember to get in touch if we can be of any help.

Have a great weekend!
