Dear Businesses,
As Autumn fast approaches, we turn our attention to the ‘C’ word….yes, Christmas and in particular the ordering of Christmas Trees!
Otley Christmas Trees
Otley Business Improvement District have taken over the administration of the display of mini Christmas trees on the fronts of business premises, from Otley Chamber of Trade.
We have arranged favourable terms with local businesses – Manson Electrical and David Lawson Trees for provision and disposal of:
- A tree
- Use of a set of LED lights
- Installation, checking the bracket, fault repair during the season
- Taking the trees down in January, and
- The appropriate insurance cover.
Otley Business Improvement District is once again heavily subsiding the cost of the trees, but we are asking for a contribution of £40 per tree towards the project.
Seasonal Flags
We are also gathering up to date consent for the installation of flags, using the same brackets as the Christmas trees, by Otley Town Council contractors. Usually during August to celebrate Yorkshire day, but sometimes for other town wide celebrations. There is no cost associated with the installation of flags.
